Getting around Northern Mariana Islands

Air: 

Star Marianas Air (www.starmarianasair.com) flies from Saipan to Tinian (journey time - 15 minutes) and Rota (journey time - 30 minutes).

There are good roads in and around major island centres.

Car hire: 

Self-drive cars are available in towns; US driving laws are followed.

Taxi: 

Available in all main centres.

Documentation: 

A national driving licence is valid for one month.

Getting around towns and cities: 

You can catch shuttle buses from most hotels as well as from T Galleria in Garapan.

By water: 

There is no longer a ferry between Saipan and Tinian.
